New York Pizza opened in December 2023. Ben Roku (owner and manager of the eatery) started working in pizza in 1997 and previously had two pizzerias in Staten Island and Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Myrtle Beach.
“I had a different job before I started this, but it wasn’t me,” he added. “I wanted to build a pizzeria restaurant.”
Everything in the pizza-making process is homemade and if it’s not crispy, it’s not New York Style.” Roku said, “The dough, it’s authentic (to the) New York style.”

Leaving reviews is not really my thing but people that don’t know about this place are really missing out. Best pizza I’ve ever had and I think it’s hands down the best pizzeria in Myrtle Beach. Pizza is authentic New York style and Benny was a joy to talk with about the different styles of pizza offered. This pizza satisfied my inner Jersey girl. Try it – you won’t be disappointed!
